SIMO Unveils Smart Motor Platform at International Industry Expo

At the recent International Industry Expo, Xi’an SIMO Motor officially launched its new-generation smart motor platform—the latest milestone in its shift from "equipment supplier" to "powertrain service provider".

The platform embeds multi-parameter sensors (temperature, vibration, current) in the motor and pairs them with an edge-computing gateway that analyzes operating state in real time, raising alerts at the early signs of bearing faults, winding overheat or load imbalance—moving maintenance from reactive to predictive.

With built-in open protocols, it plugs into customers’ MES, SCADA and energy-management systems, delivering equipment-health profiles, efficiency analytics and remote-diagnosis dashboards that cut unplanned downtime and optimize spare-part inventory.

Smart capability already spans XIMA’s HV, LV-efficient, flameproof and variable-frequency ranges, especially suited to process industries like petrochemical, mining and power where continuous operation is critical.

XIMA said it will keep building motor lifecycle data services and partner with the industry to grow a predictive-maintenance ecosystem that creates measurable safety and energy savings for customers.
