A major power generation group in North China · 2025

Background: A major North-China power group upgraded its 1000MW-class coal plant for ultra-low emissions; the FGD booster-fan drive needed a high-efficiency, low-vibration HV motor that matched the existing 10kV distribution seamlessly.
Challenge: The legacy drives showed elevated vibration and higher energy use after years of service, and the tight maintenance window imposed strict limits on mounting dimensions, cooling method and protection class—any unplanned stop would threaten compliant emission.
Solution: XIMA supplied YXKK560-4 1250kW/10kV air-to-air cooled HV induction motors as the booster-fan main drive, plus YKS air-water cooled motors for slurry circulating pumps—all with VPI impregnation, class-F insulation and IP54 protection.
Delivery & verification: After full-load and type tests at XIMA’s CNAS lab, the motors were shipped and commissioned. On-site data showed vibration velocity and winding temperature-rise better than GB/T and IEC limits, with well-controlled noise.
Outcome: Stability of the FGD system improved markedly, auxiliary energy use dropped and maintenance intervals lengthened—providing reliable power for the plant’s ultra-low-emission and energy-saving goals.
XIMA supplied YXKK560-4 1250kW/10kV HV motors and YKS auxiliary drives for the FGD booster-fan system of a 1000MW-class coal plant in North China; on-site vibration and temperature-rise beat national standards, ensuring long-term stable operation.
